Drs. Furse and Smith have more than 20 years experience in developing technology to address the problems caused by intermittent electrical faults - safety hazards and high maintenance costs. Their pioneering efforts, begun at Utah State University and at the University of Utah, to apply Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry (SSTDR) to this problem have resulted in an exclusive technology license from the two universities and a number of patented enhancements by LiveWire. Appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2008, Michael Haugen brings more than 20 years of strategic leadership, executive management and a proven track record in senior-level positions to LiveWire.   As CEO, Mr. Haugen leads LiveWire's business development activities and the commercialization strategy that will deliver WILMA and SSTDR to market.  Prior to joining LiveWire, Mr. Haugen served in successful and highly regarded leadership roles at Oracle, The Sports Authority and Accenture.  His mix of Sales, Marketing and Finance experience will help Livewire expand its presence in Aerospace and other markets.  He holds a B.A. and Masters of Accounting from The Daniels School of Business at The University of Denver.

LiveWire's initial customers include the Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, Boeing Corporation, Sandia National Labs, and NASA/JPL, all of whom are working with LiveWire to make SSTDR the world's most effective technology for the location and detection of intermittent faults in live electrical wiring in aging aircraft.
